The LVEF mission is to create and/or support quality educational experience for students, teachers, administrators, and staff District-wide. LVEF increased its annual funding this year, and continues to seek programs/services which will benefit students and teachers
K-12. LVEF invests in technology to streamline its operations and reduce our overhead.
And for the first time, LVEF is entering into business partnerships so that programs can be created which will encourage businesses and community members to financially support education without writing checks. At least two of these programs will be launched in January, 2012.
This year LVEF established a partnership with the cities of Agoura Hills and Westlake Village to create eWaste programs that benefit our environment and our schools.
The LVEF WASC accredited Summer School enrolled over 1400 students in 2011. This was our highest enrollment since we began our program in 2003. We also increased our out-of-district student enrollment by 67%, which allowed us to offer additional classes for LVUSD students.
