The Las Virgenes Educational Foundation operates the district's accelerated Summer School program, and will be involved in additional programs that enhance the educational opportunities during the school year. The LVEF also provides financial assistance at the district, site, and classroom levels.

LVEF is working closely with the school district to identify the most vulnerable programs and services during this time of continued budget cuts by the state. In 2008, LVEF funded the BTSA program in support of the newly hired teachers throughout the district, 4 non-teaching sections at the high schools to help maintain the supervision of extra-curricular programs, and the Technology Plan consultant who is creating a comprehensive technology plan for the district.

We hope to fund the mini-grant program again in the near future.
